RAINCARE WP Exterior Primer is a waterproof exterior primer made from a polyurethane and polymer blend. It is white, elastomeric and meant for exterior use only. You dilute it with 20% clean water and apply it by brush or roller as the undercoat for polyurethane polymer paints and membrane coatings, which makes it a primer for waterproof coatings.
Waterproof undercoat on clean, dry masonry before the topcoat.
Brushed or rolled on plastered walls for bonding and UV resistance.
Primes asbestos sheets ahead of PU or polymer coatings.
Two coats may be recommended where the brickwork is highly porous.
Undercoat that improves adhesion of polyurethane polymer paint applied over it.
Bonding base coat laid before a polymer membrane coating.
As a primer before waterproof paint, it covers 60 Sq.ft per Ltr when diluted with 20% water, and comes in 1, 4, 10 and 20 Ltr packs. UV resistance is listed as excellent, so it serves as a UV resistant primer under PU coatings and polymer membranes. It is for exterior use only. Two coats may be recommended on highly porous surfaces. Let the primer dry fully, a minimum of 4–6 hours, before applying the topcoat.
