    • Retaining wall leakage

    • Corrosion protection for MS columns
    • Rock and tunnel grouting

RAPIDSTRONG GROUT PFC 79 is a single-component, water-reactive polyurethane polymer injection resin grout. When it contacts water, it initiates a rapid polymerisation reaction — expanding into surrounding pores, cracks and narrow gaps within 36–48 seconds to form a tough, highly flexible solid that stops active water ingress. Non-toxic and non-flammable, it is designed for free-flow pressure injection to seal active leaks, strengthen ground, and protect MS columns and structures against corrosion in basements, retaining walls, underground structures and rock areas.

Where to use RAPIDSTRONG GROUT PFC 79: water reactive PU grout for active seepage

RAPIDSTRONG GROUT PFC 79 is a water reactive PU grout supplied as a single component injection resin. It is pumped through packers or nipples set in drilled holes. When it meets water it expands into surrounding pores, cracks and narrow gaps and forms a tough, highly flexible solid that stops active water ingress, so it works as a seepage stopping chemical.

    • Underground Basements (Negative Pressure)

Injected from inside to stop active water ingress through cracks.

    • Retaining Walls

Seals leaking cracks and gaps in walls under negative pressure.

    • Earth Filling Segments

Pumped into the fill to solidify leaking zones.

    • Rock & Tunnel Areas

Expands into narrow gaps in rock after pressure injection.

    • MS Columns & Structures (Corrosion Protection)

Used to protect MS columns and structures against corrosion.

    • Sewage & Industrial Waste Structures

Injected to seal leaking structures in sewage and industrial waste environments.

    • Active Seepage Zones

Gels in 36–48 seconds, so the leak is blocked quickly.

    • Ground Consolidation

Free-flow pressure injection is used to strengthen the ground.

For retaining wall leakage and other underground seepage, this single component PU grout gels in 0.6–0.8 minutes (36–48 seconds). Viscosity is 210 cps at 25°C and specific gravity is 1.06 ± 0.04 at 20°C. It is non-toxic and non-flammable, comes in 20 Kgs packing only and keeps for 1 year from manufacture in dry storage. Where there is too little natural water at the injection zone, inject water as well to start the reaction.

Armstrong Chemicals supplies RAPIDSTRONG GROUT PFC 79 to sites across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, including Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Bengaluru, Kochi and Chennai.

    Single-Component Polyurethane Injection Grout

Active Leakage Stopped in Under a Minute

A water-reactive polyurethane injection grout that expands into cracks, pores and gaps within 36–48 seconds of contacting water — forming a tough, flexible solid that seals active seepage, consolidates ground, and protects MS structures against corrosion in basements, retaining walls and underground structures.

    Why It Works

Why Standard Grouting Fails in Active Water Ingress

Cementitious and epoxy grouts require a dry or near-dry substrate — but active leaks keep the surface wet, washing conventional grouts out before they can set.

The RAPIDSTRONG GROUT PFC 79 Advantage

Water is the trigger, not the obstacle. A polyurethane resin that reacts specifically on contact with water — expanding and polymerising in 36–48 seconds into a flexible solid that stays in the void even under active flow.

    Water Activates It — Instantly

Unlike conventional grouts that require dry surfaces, RAPIDSTRONG GROUT PFC 79 uses water as its reaction trigger. Contact with water initiates expansion and polymerisation within 36–48 seconds — sealing active seepage before it can dilute or displace the grout.

Flexible Solid — Expands and Contracts With Pressure

Once polymerised, the flexible solid expands and contracts with changes in hydrostatic pressure — maintaining the seal through pressure cycles that would crack or debond a rigid repair material.

Built for the Conditions Where Other Grouts Fail

    Wet, Underground, Under Pressure

    Active Water Ingress
Stops oozing and seepage within seconds — water activates the expansion rather than washing the grout out
    Underground & Negative Pressure
Basements, retaining walls, rock areas and earth segments under negative hydrostatic pressure
    Corrosion Protection
Seals and consolidates around MS columns and reinforced structures to prevent ongoing corrosion from water ingress
    GEL
    36–48 Sec
Gel time — the fastest reaction in the Armstrong range; active seepage stopped immediately
    SIMPLE
    1 Component
Single component — water-reactive, no mixing, no pot life concerns
    SAFE
    Non-Toxic
Non-toxic and non-flammable polyurethane — safe for sewage, waste and groundwater environments
    Polyurethane Injection Grout

Built for Active Leakage Under Pressure

Water-reactive, pressure-injected — for the leaks that conventional grouts cannot stop.

    36–48 Second Gel Time

Water contact initiates polymerisation in 0.6–0.8 minutes — the fastest gel time of any Armstrong product, sealing active leaks before they can dilute or displace the grout.

    Water Is the Activator

A single-component system where water triggers the reaction — no mixing, no pot life, no dry surface required. Expands into pores, cracks and gaps as it polymerises.

    Flexible Solid Under Pressure

Polymerised product expands and contracts with hydrostatic pressure cycles — maintaining the seal through conditions that would crack or debond rigid repair materials.

    Corrosion Protection for MS Structures

Seals and consolidates around mild steel columns and reinforced concrete structures — blocking the water ingress pathways that drive ongoing corrosion.

    Packing & Storage

Available in 20 Kg packs only. Shelf life of 1 year from manufacture. Store in dry conditions out of direct sunlight.

    Water Requirement & Fast Gel

⚠️ The polyurethane reaction only initiates on contact with water. If insufficient natural water is present at the injection zone, inject water first or simultaneously. Gel time is 0.6–0.8 minutes (36–48 seconds) — be ready at the injection point; results are immediate.

    Equipment Required

Application requires low or high pressure pump equipment with specialised packers and nipples — not a brush or trowel product. Contact Armstrong technical support for equipment specification and site methodology guidance.

Coverage note: Injection volume depends entirely on void geometry, crack width, rock porosity and injection pressure — contact our technical representative for site-specific volume estimation.

    How to Use

    1

Identify the crack, void or leaking zone requiring treatment

    2

Drill injection holes at appropriate spacing and depth — angle towards the centre of the crack or void

    3

Fit packers or nipples into the drilled holes

    4

Fill the injection gun or pump with RAPIDSTRONG GROUT PFC 79

    5

If insufficient natural water is present at the injection zone, also inject a sufficient quantity of water to initiate the polyurethane reaction

    6

Begin injection using a low-pressure hand-operated pump; use a high-pressure pump with special packers for specific conditions

    7

Gel time is 0.6–0.8 minutes (36–48 seconds) — results are immediately visible; monitor the injection point closely

    8

Once the void or crack is sealed and no further ingress is visible, cease injection and remove packers

    9

    Seal injection holes after treatment
