Where to use RAPIDSTRONG GROUT VM 99: PU crack injection resin for structural sealing

RAPIDSTRONG GROUT VM 99 is a PU crack injection resin for sealing and strengthening cracks, joints and cavities in dry and water-bearing concrete. It is a solvent-free, two component PU resin: Part A and Part B are mixed at 1:1 and injected with a two-component pump, or poured by gravity into V-notched cracks in horizontal slabs.

    • Fine Cracks, Crevices & Construction Joints

Low viscosity resin is pressure injected to seal and strengthen them.

    • Concrete Pit Enclosures & Rigid Joints

Seals rigid joints in both dry and water-bearing concrete.

    • Rock & Masonry Sealing

Injected through packers to seal cavities in rock and masonry.

    • Subsoil Solidification

Expands 1–12× on water contact, depending on the ingress.

    • Sheet Pilings & Diaphragm Walls

Add Part C accelerator at 0.2% where water ingress is heavy.

    • Saline Environments

Used to seal cracks and joints in saline conditions.

    • Pipe Sockets & Drinking Water Structures

Solvent-free resin injected to seal pipe sockets and joints.

    • Cold Weather & Below-Freezing Applications

Applied from -5°C to +35°C, with -20°C cure possible by formulation.

For structural crack repair in concrete, the cured resin reaches compressive strength above 75 MPa and flexural tensile strength of 70 MPa (DIN EN 196 T1). Viscosity is 225 ± 25 mPas and working time is only 25–30 seconds. As a re-injectable grout it can go in again through existing hoses. Packing is 10 Kgs and 20 Kgs, shelf life 18 months. The concrete must be 28 days cured. Mix only what you can inject immediately, and never thin the product.

Armstrong Chemicals supplies RAPIDSTRONG GROUT VM 99 to sites across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, including Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Bengaluru, Kochi and Chennai.

Two-Component PU Injection Resin · DIN EN 196

    75 MPa. 25 Seconds. Down to -20°C.

A two-component polyurethane duromer injection resin with >75 MPa DIN-tested compressive strength, 25–30 second working time, and the ability to cure down to -20°C — for structural sealing of cracks, joints and cavities in dry and water-bearing concrete under demanding site conditions.

    Why It Works

When Structural Crack Injection Needs Real Strength Data

Many injection resins claim "high strength" without quantified test data — leaving specifying engineers unable to verify that the repair meets structural requirements or performs in extreme cold.

The RAPIDSTRONG GROUT VM 99 Advantage

    >75 MPa compressive strength and 70 MPa flexural tensile strength, both independently tested to DIN EN 196 T1. Cures in 25–30 seconds and works down to -20°C with formulation — structural data you can specify with confidence.

    Re-Injectable for Permanent Sealing

Excellent re-injectable properties through already-installed hoses — allowing follow-up sealing of remaining capillaries and micro cracks without re-drilling or installing new injection ports.

Pressure and Gravity Feed — Two Methods

Pressure injection at 40–200 psi for cracks and vertical surfaces; gravity feed for horizontal slab cracks with V-notched preparation — the only injection grout in the Armstrong range with both application methods documented.

Built for the Most Demanding Structural Injection Conditions

    Cold, Deep, Structural

    Cold Weather to -20°C
Can be formulated to cure down to -20°C (-4°F) — for underground structures, cold climates and winter construction where other resins cannot be used
    DIN EN 196 Tested Strength
    >75 MPa compressive, 70 MPa flexural tensile — real structural data verified by test standard
    1–12× Variable Expansion
Volume expands 1–12× on water contact depending on ingress pressure — from hairline cracks to heavily water-bearing cavities

    Application Procedure

Two documented methods — pressure injection for cracks and vertical surfaces; gravity feed for horizontal slab cracks

    1

Drill injection holes at appropriate spacing along the crack; fit packers or nipples and confirm substrate is sound and 28 days cured

    2

⚠️ Eliminate all ignition sources — no smoking, open flames, pilot lights or spark-producing equipment

    3

Pre-stir each component separately, then mix Part A and Part B at 1:1 ratio (add Part C accelerator at 0.2% for heavy water ingress)

    4

⚠️ Working time is 25–30 seconds — mix only the volume required for immediate use; do NOT thin the product

    5

Load a two-component injection pump; inject at slow, steady pressure — low (40 psi) or high (200 psi) as required

    6

For horizontal cracks begin at the widest section; for vertical surfaces begin at the lowest port and work upward — keep all ports open until resin flows from the next port

    7

Protect resin from direct sunlight and excessive heat during injection to prevent uncontrolled polymerisation

    8

Remove uncured material with cleaners; cured material can only be removed mechanically

    Two-Component Injection Resin

Built for Structural Injection Under Demanding Conditions

    >75 MPa DIN-Tested Strength

Compressive strength >75 MPa and flexural tensile strength 70 MPa — both tested to DIN EN 196 T1. Real structural data for specifying engineers who need more than a generic "high strength" claim.

    Cures Down to -20°C

Formulated to cure in below-freezing conditions — enabling structural injection work in cold climates, underground environments and winter construction where other resins fail to cure reliably.

    Re-Injectable Through Existing Hoses

Re-injectable through already-installed hoses — follow-up sealing of remaining capillaries without re-drilling. A capability unique among the Armstrong injection grout range.

    1–12× Variable Expansion

Volume expands 1–12 times on contact with water depending on ingress pressure — sealing hairline cracks and heavily water-bearing cavities with a single product.

    Packing & Shelf Life

Available in 10 Kg and 20 Kg two-component packs. Shelf life of 18 months from manufacture. Store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Safety — Flammable & Industrial Only

⚠️ Contains a flammable monomer. No smoking, open flames, pilot lights or spark-producing tools during application. FOR INDUSTRIAL USE ONLY. Keep out of reach of children. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet for handling, storage and disposal. Wash skin thoroughly with hot soapy water after contact.

    Equipment & Limitations

Requires a two-component injection pump. Do not thin the product. Substrate concrete must be 28 days cured before application. Cured product can only be removed mechanically — not with solvents.

Coverage note: Injection volume depends entirely on crack width, void geometry and injection pressure — contact our technical representative for site-specific volume estimation.
