Where to use ROOFPLAST PC 455: PCE superplasticizer for high-strength concrete

ROOFPLAST PC 455 is a PCE superplasticizer, a single component, chloride-free liquid based on polycarboxylic ether technology. It works as a high range water reducer and slump retention plasticiser for high-strength, self-compacting and pumped concrete. This slump retention admixture is dosed per bag of cement and is compatible with micro silica, GGBS and fly ash.

    • Self-Compacting Concrete

High water reduction lets concrete be placed with less vibration.

    • High-Strength Structural Concrete

Concrete grades above M40 are achievable with this admixture.

    • Elevated Pumping Concrete

Slump retention keeps the mix pumpable for high-level pours.

    • Precast & Prestressed Concrete

High early compressive strength, with centering removal in 3–4 days.

    • High-Rise Buildings

Used for high-level pumping on tall structures.

    • Dams, Bridges & Runways

Resists shrinkage and cracking in large infrastructure pours.

    • Highways & Pavements

High-strength, high-durability concrete for highway and pavement work.

    • Ready-Mix Concrete

Target slump retention of 80–120 mm for ready-mix loads.

    • Micro Silica / GGBS / Fly Ash Blends

Compatible with all three supplementary materials in blended cement mixes.

Standard dosage is 300–600 g per 50 kg cement bag, rising to a maximum of 1 kg per bag for greater flowability. To control slump loss in ready mix concrete, target slump retention is 80–120 mm. Chloride content is nil, tensile strength is 5.2 N/mm² and flexural strength 8 N/mm² at 28 days, and the product complies with IS 9103-99. As an admixture for fly ash GGBS concrete it suits blended cements. Do not use it alongside naphthalene sulphonate plasticisers.

Armstrong Chemicals supplies ROOFPLAST PC 455 to sites across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, including Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Bengaluru, Kochi and Chennai.

Next-Generation Slump Retention for Demanding Concrete

A polycarboxylic ether (PCE) high range water reducer that holds slump while reducing water-cement ratio — delivering 40 N/mm² at 28 days for self-compacting, pumped and precast concrete in dams, bridges, runways and high-rise buildings.

    Why It Works

    The Limitation of Conventional Plasticisers

Standard lignosulphonate and naphthalene sulphonate plasticisers improve workability at placement, but slump loss over time means concrete poured into complex formwork, pumped long distances, or delayed in transit can lose workability before it's placed.

    The ROOFPLAST PC 455 Advantage

A 3rd-generation PCE admixture that reduces water-cement ratio while retaining slump — keeping concrete workable from the mixer to the pour, with less vibration required for compaction.

    Superior Slump Retention

PCE technology maintains target slumps of 80–120mm across transit and placement — essential for pumped concrete, self-compacting concrete and long hauls in ready-mix applications.

    Multi-SCM Compatible

Compatible with micro silica, GGBS and fly ash in blended cement concrete mixes — one admixture across the full range of high-performance and sustainable concrete specifications.

    Dosage Guidance

    Application TypeDosage per 50kg Cement
    Standard concreting300–600g per 50kg bag
Lean mixes / hand-mixed / high fluidityUp to 1kg per 50kg bag (maximum)

NSF incompatibility: slump retention and pumpability may be affected when used alongside naphthalene sulphonate (NSF)-based plasticisers. Do not combine without prior trial testing.

Over 600g and up to 1kg per bag may cause a delay in setting time and produce very high flowability, workability and extra designed high early strength. For specific application method guidance, contact the ROOFPLAST PC 455 technical representative.
