CONPROOF FR 261 is a fire resistant coating for structural steel and concrete surfaces. It gives passive fire protection by insulating structural members, which slows temperature rise during a fire. It is applied by brush, roller or spray over a suitable primer, in the number of coats the fire rating specification calls for.

The fire rating is set by the project specification. For fire safety for a steel structure, this passive fire protection coating is built up coat by coat to the required dry film thickness, and each coat must dry before the next. Have the thickness verified and signed off by an approved fire protection specialist.
