RAINPROOF PBR 5 Layer System is a PU acrylic hybrid waterproofing system for roofs, terraces and podiums. It combines the elasticity of polyurethane with the UV stability of acrylic. This hybrid terrace system is built up as a primer, two hybrid base coats with fibreglass mesh between them, and a UV-resistant topcoat, applied by brush or roller.

Coverage is 18–20 sq.ft per litre per coat. For podium slab leakage, the hybrid membrane has elongation above 300%, superior abrasion resistance and excellent UV resistance, which also makes it an abrasion resistant roof system for car park decks. Embed the fibreglass reinforcement mesh while the first base coat is wet, and apply the topcoat after 24 hours.

The polyurethane part gives the membrane its elasticity, with elongation above 300% in the cured film.

Clean and prepare surface thoroughly
Apply PU-acrylic primer coat and allow to dry

Apply second hybrid base coat over mesh
Apply UV-resistant hybrid topcoat after 24 hours
