Elastomeric bitumen sealing compound that fills and seals movement joints in runways, roads, parking places and platforms, staying flexible as the joint moves.
Elastomeric bitumen sealing compound for sealing of joints, runways, roads, parking places, and platforms. High performance bituminous compound providing flexible, durable sealing for movement joints in pavements, runways, and industrial floors.
Figures are controlled laboratory results. Actual site performance varies with substrate, temperature, humidity, application method and workmanship — please confirm the current product datasheet before specification.
RAINSEAL BS is a bitumen joint sealant made as an elastomeric compound, so it accommodates joint movement. It is applied into saw cut or routed joints in pavements, runways and industrial floors, then tooled to a concave profile. It is also used as a parking area joint sealant.
Seals runway joints and resists traffic loading and weathering.
Fills movement joints in road pavements with a flexible bituminous seal.
A waterproof, durable seal for joints in parking places.
Seals movement joints in platforms and industrial floors.
Applied over a backer rod where the deck joint is deep.
The elastomeric compound accommodates joint movement in pavements.
If you are working out how to seal road expansion joints, note that RAINSEAL BS is waterproof, UV resistant and durable. As a runway joint sealant it is chosen for its resistance to traffic loading and weathering. Curing time depends on ambient conditions, so refer to the product datasheet. Fill the joint completely with no voids and allow full curing before opening it to traffic.
Armstrong Chemicals supplies RAINSEAL BS to sites across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, including Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Bengaluru, Kochi and Chennai.
It is elastomeric and accommodates joint movement, so the seal stays in place as pavements move.
The bituminous compound is waterproof, which keeps water from getting down through the sealed joint.
It is UV resistant and durable, suited to open pavements, runways and parking areas exposed to sun and traffic.
Saw cut or rout the joint to clean parallel sides and proper depth-to-width ratio
Remove all loose material, old sealant, and contamination
Clean joint with compressed air and wire brush
Install backer rod to correct depth if joint is deep
Apply RAINSEAL BS into the joint — ensure complete filling with no voids
Tool the sealant surface to achieve a concave profile
Allow full curing before opening to traffic

WONDERSEAL XL is a high-performance, highly flexible, water-resistant acrylic latex caulking and fast-setting sealant for architectural and interior finishing applications. White, non-flammable, overpaintable and paperable — seals joints around windows, door frames, cornices, skirtings and staircases with excellent adhesion to concrete, brickwork, plaster, wood and glazed tiles. No priming required. Cures by loss of water, with a skinning time of 15–45 minutes and full cure in 3–5 days.
View DetailsROOFEXSEAL PU is a low-modulus, single-component, high-performance polyurethane sealant. Once cured, it forms a tough, flexible seal capable of cyclic expansion and compression movement of 50% (±25%) of the original joint width. Virtually unaffected by rain, sunlight, snow, sleet, UV radiation, ozone, and atmospheric pollution, it retains its original properties for years of exposure.
View DetailsROOFEX-SEAL PS is a two-component polysulphide liquid polymer sealant, available in Gun Grade (non-sag) and Pour Grade (self-levelling). When mixed, the base and curing agent react to form a firm, flexible rubber-like seal with excellent adhesion to concrete, masonry, wood, glass, acrylic and PVC. Capable of withstanding repeated expansion, contraction and cyclic movement without loss of adhesion — with 30% movement accommodation on butt joints, 50% on lap joints, and a stated service life of 20 years or more. Service temperature: -40°C to +80°C. Compliant with ASTM C-920-87, DIN-18549, TT-S-00227E and BS-4254-83. CPWD and government infrastructure approved.
