ROOFBOND SBR is a high-performance Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) latex polymer bonding agent for high-quality cementitious repairs and structural restoration. A multifunctional, single-component liquid for both internal and external surfaces, it also provides high-performance waterproofing — a universal repair product for concrete and masonry works.
Figures are controlled laboratory results. Actual site performance varies with substrate, temperature, humidity, application method and workmanship — please confirm the current product datasheet before specification.
ROOFBOND SBR 401 is an SBR latex bonding agent, a single-component white emulsion of Styrene Butadiene Rubber polymer. It is applied as a bond coat mixed with cement, or added to the mortar mix itself, for cementitious repairs on internal and external surfaces. It also gives waterproofing, so one product covers most concrete and masonry repair jobs.
Mixed 1:1 with cement and applied on the prepared old surface.
Used as a waterproofing slurry on internal and external surfaces.
Added to repair mortar and plaster mixes for masonry.
Typically 10 litres per 50 kg bag of cement for structural repairs.
Dosed at 5–9 litres per 50 kg bag of cement.
Used in the cement mix for filling tile and stone joints.
If you are asking how to bond new concrete to old, use it as a bond coat in equal parts with cement. That covers 40–65 sq.ft per litre per coat, depending on the substrate. As an SBR polymer for repair mortar in a 1:3 mix with 10 litres per 50 kg bag of cement, it reaches 63 MPa compressive, 9.0 MPa flexural and 3.5 MPa tensile strength at 28 days. Solid content is 42%. Place the repair mortar while the bond coat is still tacky.
Armstrong Chemicals supplies ROOFBOND SBR 401 to sites across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, including Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Bengaluru, Kochi and Chennai.
An SBR latex polymer bonding agent that turns ordinary cement mortar into a 63 MPa structural repair material — with documented mix ratios for bond coats, waterproofing slurry, repair mortar, structural repairs, and heavy-duty floor screeds.
Get a QuoteUnmodified cement mortar bonds poorly to old concrete, stays permeable to water and chemicals, and lacks the tensile and flexural strength repair work demands.
An SBR latex admixture that boosts bond strength, reduces permeability, and lifts mechanical properties to 63 MPa compressive / 9.0 MPa flexural — turning ordinary mortar into a structural repair material.
Delivers 63 MPa compressive, 9.0 MPa flexural and 3.5 MPa tensile strength at 28 days in a 1:3 repair mortar — increased dosage and reduced water further improve mechanical performance.
From bond coats to heavy-duty floor screeds, this brochure documents five distinct, ready-to-use mix ratios for site teams — no guesswork on proportions.
A bonding agent that turns site-mixed mortar into a structural repair material.
63 MPa compressive, 9.0 MPa flexural, and 3.5 MPa tensile strength at 28 days in a standard repair mortar mix.
Lowers mortar permeability, reducing the rate of attack from aggressive chemicals, acid gases and water.
Eco-friendly, non-toxic, and compatible with all types of cement — easy to gauge on site to the job at hand.
One admixture for bond coats, waterproofing slurry, repair mortar, structural repairs, and heavy-duty floor screeds.
Supplied in 1, 5, 20, 30 & 210 Litre barrels. Shelf life of 24 months from manufacture date.

ROOFBOND EP is a two-component, solvent-free epoxy resin bonding agent for producing excellent bond strength between old and new concrete and cementitious surfaces. Brush-applied in a thin film, it cures to a high-strength epoxy bond layer with an open overlay window of 2–3 hours at 30°C and 5–6 hours at 20°C. It delivers 52 N/mm² compressive, 36 N/mm² flexural and 25 N/mm² tensile strength. Suitable for both damp and dry surfaces. Approved and extensively used across CPWD, PWDs, APGENCO and government infrastructure projects.
