ALSTRONG ZP PRIMER 210 is an epoxy zinc rich primer supplied in two components for steel and iron. Its high zinc content gives galvanic protection, which means the zinc sacrifices itself to protect the steel even if the coating is damaged. You mix Part A and Part B, then apply by brush, roller or airless spray.

For steel protection in a coastal area or any heavy corrosion zone, plan on two coats. Coverage is 1 litre per 60 sq.ft on a plain surface. Prepare the steel by blast cleaning or wire brushing to Sa 2.5 or St 3 standard, and remove all oil, grease and contamination before mixing. This galvanic protection primer must be applied within its pot life. After mixing, let the two parts induct for 15 minutes before you start.

Blast clean or wire brush steel surface to Sa 2.5 or St 3 standard

Apply by brush, roller, or airless spray within the pot life
Apply first coat — coverage approximately 60 Sq.ft per Ltr
Allow to cure before applying second coat or topcoat
Apply topcoat within the recoat window specified on the product datasheet
