ReadHeat Resistant & Cool Coatings
SUMMERPROOF COOL 644 is a 100% pure acrylic, ceramic-powder blended, solar reflective and heat-resistant waterproof coating. Single-component, easy to apply, most economical — it provides a jointless and seamless waterproof membrane with a Solar Reflective Index of 110, 87% heat reflectivity, 2mm crack bridging, and up to 25% reduction in electrical energy consumption. Can be used as its own primer at 1:0.5 dilution. For terraces, sloped roofs, ACC/GI sheets and external walls. Apply over existing cementitious, bituminous, polymer and PU-treated surfaces.
Figures are controlled laboratory results. Actual site performance varies with substrate, temperature, humidity, application method and workmanship — please confirm the current product datasheet before specification.
SUMMERPROOF COOL 644 is a heat resistant terrace paint made from 100% pure acrylic blended with ceramic powder. It is a single-component white coating that reflects solar heat and forms a jointless, seamless waterproof membrane. Thinned with 10% water, it goes on by brush or sprayer as a solar reflective coating for terrace slabs, sloped roofs, sheets and external walls.
Gives 87% ± 2 heat reflectivity and waterproofs the terrace.
Two topcoats by brush or sprayer on sloped roofs.
Solar reflective coating for ACC and GI sheet roofing.
Heat-resistant, waterproof white coating for external wall surfaces.
Goes over existing polymer and PU-treated surfaces.
Applied over existing bituminous and cementitious treated surfaces.
Applied on metal roofs from 5°C to 30°C, not in high-temperature conditions.
Coverage is 1 litre per 50 sq.ft per coat. This SRI 110 coating has 87% ± 2 heat reflectivity (ASTM-E 903), crack bridging up to 2 mm and can cut electrical consumption by up to 25%. As a terrace heat reduction coating it fully cures in 2–3 days at 30°C. It can act as its own primer when 1 litre is diluted with 0.5 litre of water. For full heat resistance, cover all parapet walls along with the terrace or roof.
Armstrong Chemicals supplies SUMMERPROOF COOL 644 to sites across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, including Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Bengaluru, Kochi and Chennai.
With a Solar Reflective Index of 110 and 87% ± 2 heat reflectivity, the white coating sends most solar heat back.
The 100% pure acrylic cures to a jointless membrane that stretches more than 200% and bridges cracks up to 2 mm.
Diluted 1:0.5 with water it serves as its own primer, so one single-component product does both primer and topcoats.
A 100% pure acrylic solar reflective waterproof coating — SRI 110, 87% heat reflectivity, up to 25% energy saving — single-component, self-primer capable and the most economical solar reflective coating in the Armstrong range. For roofs, terraces, metal sheets and external walls.
Get a QuoteHeat absorption on uncoated or dark roofs raises indoor temperatures, increasing cooling loads and electrical bills — a year-round cost across terraces, metal sheets and asbestos roofing without any waterproof protection.
SRI 110 and 87% heat reflectivity — single-component, self-primer, most economical solar reflective waterproof membrane. Two coats, no separate primer, full cure in 2–3 days.
Dilute 1:0.5 with water and apply one coat as primer, then follow with two topcoats at 10% dilution. No additional primer SKU to source, stock or cost.
Described as "most economical" in the brochure — 100% pure acrylic with ceramic powders, single-component, easy to apply by brush or spray. Up to 25% reduction in electrical consumption from a single product. For the premium tier, see SUMMERSHIELD COOL 666.
87% ± 2 heat reflectivity and SRI 110 reduce peak summer roof surface temperature.
Solar reflection leads to reduction in electrical consumption for cooling loads.
Ready-to-use, no mixing of separate components, brush or spray application.
Most economical, single-component, self-primer capable — cool-roof protection you can specify and apply without adding SKUs.
Solar Reflective Index of 110 and 87% ± 2 heat reflectivity (ASTM-E 903) — keeping roof surfaces cooler, reducing heat ingress and cutting AC energy consumption by up to 25%.
Diluted 1:0.5 with water for the primer coat, then 10% for topcoats — eliminating a separate primer product and simplifying site logistics.
100% pure acrylic, single-component, easy to apply by brush or spray — the most economical solar reflective waterproof coating in the Armstrong range.
No cracks up to 2mm (ASTM-C-836), seamless jointless membrane — effective waterproof protection alongside solar reflectivity on terraces, metal roofs and external walls.
Clean the surface from dirt, dust and all contamination; wash thoroughly
Optional primer coat: dilute SUMMERPROOF COOL 644 itself 1:0.5 with water and apply one coat (product as its own primer)
Apply two topcoats of SUMMERPROOF COOL 644 diluted with 10% water by brush or sprayer
Allow 2–3 hours between coats; full cure 2–3 days at 30°C
For full heat resistance, cover all parapet walls along with the terrace/roof
Application temperature: 5°C to 30°C — do not apply in high-temperature conditions
Available in 1, 5, 10 & 20 Litre packs. Shelf life of 12 months from manufacture when stored below 30°C in original sealed containers away from direct sunlight. Coverage: 1 litre per 50 sq.ft per coat on a normal masonry surface; consumption varies with porosity and roughness.
Application temperature: 5°C to 30°C — do not apply in high-temperature conditions or when rain is imminent. Full cure at 30°C: 2–3 days. Cover all parapet walls along with the terrace/roof for full heat resistance performance.
Self-primer: dilute SUMMERPROOF COOL 644 itself 1:0.5 with water for the primer coat — no separate primer SKU needed. For the premium Nano UV, micro-fibre reinforced, acrylic-PU blended tier with SRI 113, 3mm crack bridging and 7-bar waterproof rating, see SUMMERSHIELD COOL 666.
