Where to use ROOFBOND RFX PLUS 210: waterproofing for basement under water pressure

ROOFBOND RFX PLUS 210 is a waterproofing for basement under water pressure, made as a flexible reinforced coating for structures that stay in contact with water. The components are mixed to a smooth, lump-free slurry and applied in two coats by brush, roller or spray. Fibre mesh or geo fabric can be embedded in the first wet coat for extra reinforcement.

    • Basements & Retaining Walls

Applied where hydrostatic pressure on the structure is continuous.

    • Water Tanks & Reservoirs

Nil water penetration at a 50-metre water column suits stored water.

    • Terraces & Podiums

Two coats by brush, roller or spray over the prepared slab.

    • Lift Pits & Sunken Slabs

Used in pits and sunken slabs where water pressure is sustained.

    • Swimming Pools

Water cure for 7 days before flood testing the pool.

    • Tunnels & Underground Structures

Flexible coating that bridges cracks up to 3.5 mm underground.

Where lift pit leakage or basement seepage comes from continuous water pressure, the figures matter. The coating shows nil water penetration at a 50 m water column, which is why it is used for hydrostatic pressure waterproofing. Tensile strength is 5–5.5 N/mm², elongation 120%+, crack bridging up to 3.5 mm and bond strength 2.0 N/mm² to prepared concrete. Coverage is 13–14 sq.m per 20.1 kg unit, with a stated durability of 10+ years. Water cure for 7 days before flood testing or covering.

Armstrong Chemicals supplies ROOFBOND RFX PLUS 210 to sites across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, including Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Bengaluru, Kochi and Chennai.

Why ROOFBOND RFX PLUS 210 works

    • Tested under water column

Zero water penetration at a 50-metre water column means the coating keeps holding when water presses on it continuously.

    • Stretches over cracks

With 120%+ elongation and crack bridging up to 3.5 mm, the film can stretch across cracks instead of splitting.

    • Strong bond to concrete

A bond strength of 2.0 N/mm² to prepared concrete keeps the coating attached to the surface it protects.

    How to Use

    1

Clean and prepare the surface — remove all loose material, laitance, dust, oil and fungal growth

    2

Pre-wet the substrate to a saturated surface-dry condition, leaving no standing water

    3

Mix the components thoroughly to a smooth, lump-free slurry

    4

Apply the first coat by brush, roller or spray over the entire prepared area

    5

Apply the second coat perpendicular to the first once the first has set firm

    6

Embed fibre mesh or geo fabric in the first wet coat where extra reinforcement is required

    7

Water cure for 7 days before flood testing or covering
