Where to use RAINSEAL 200: waterproof paint for roof, terrace and external walls
RAINSEAL 200 is a waterproof paint for roof slabs, terraces and external walls, made from single-component, 100% pure acrylic. It is white, heat-reflective and self-curing, with the elongation and recovery to bridge existing and future cracks. This white acrylic roof coating is diluted with water and applied by brush or airless spray in two coats.
RCC Terraces & Sloped Roofs
Two coats applied 3–4 hours apart over sealed cracks.
Domes & Folded Plate Roofs
Thixotropic liquid applied by brush or airless spray.
External Walls
Seal cracks with WONDERSEAL XL first, then coat the wall.
Stone, Brick & Wood Surfaces
Smooth, matt finish that can be tinted with universal stainers.

Clean off rust and dirt, then coat the sheets.
Heat Transfer Barrier Coating
White finish reflects 80% of heat to reduce room temperature.
For terrace leakage and heat problem roofs, coverage is 50–60 sq.ft per litre per coat on concrete. Elongation at break is 450%, tensile strength 2.6 N/mm², adhesion 1.3 N/mm² to ASTM D4541, and it shows no cracks up to 2 mm width. As a heat reflective waterproof coating the white finish reflects 80% of heat, and it withstands 2000 Hrs of UV with no colour fade. Allow the coating to cure for 3 days before walking on it or testing with water.

How to Use
Clean the surface — wire brush plus water wash, removing dirt, rust, loose plaster, oils, fungus and algae. Acid-etch first if required, then water wash.
Seal all cracks with the relevant sealant — ROOFSEAL PS/PU for terrace treatments, WONDERSEAL XL for external wall treatments.
Apply 1st coat of RAINSEAL 200 diluted with up to 20% water, by brush or airless spray, over the entire surface.
After 3–4 hours, apply 2nd coat diluted with 20% water over the first coat.
Allow the entire coating to cure for 3 days before allowing movement on it, or before testing with water for leakage.
If the area was previously bitumen-coated, remove as much of the old bitumen as possible before applying — RAINSEAL 200 still provides excellent adhesion even on residual bitumen stains.
If a primer coat is required, dilute 50% with water and apply first.
Optional: embed fibre mesh / fibreglass tissue in the first wet coat for extended warranty, then apply the second coat over it. A third coat can be added for further-increased warranty period.
Applicable Areas
Packing & Storage
Available in 1, 4, 20, 80 & 210 Litre packs — sized for both small repairs and large commercial roofs. Shelf life of 12 months from manufacture, stored between 10°C and 30°C in original packing.
Precautions
Sprinkle water during the first coat above ~40°C. Avoid application below 10°C — it prolongs drying and curing. Store in a cool, dry place.
Cleaning of Tools
Tools and equipment clean up easily with water immediately after application.
