ROOFEX COP is a cement-based waterproof coating with crystallization and osmotic properties, conforming to ASTM C 1202 and DINV 18998. Applied by brush or spray, it penetrates into concrete and activates both crystalline crystal formation and osmotic action — sealing cracks up to 0.4mm, blocking capillaries and pores, and remaining 100% waterproof even in permanent immersion at high pressures. Resists salt water and atmospheric pollution. For negative and positive waterproofing of water retaining structures, basements, effluent treatment and sewage plants.
Figures are controlled laboratory results. Actual site performance varies with substrate, temperature, humidity, application method and workmanship — please confirm the current product datasheet before specification.
ROOFEX COP is a crystalline osmotic waterproofing coating based on cement. Applied by brush or spray on dampened concrete, it works its way into the concrete and combines crystal formation with osmotic action to block capillaries and pores. It is used for positive and negative waterproofing, and as a salt water resistant waterproofing coat on structures exposed to seawater.
Wait 15 days after application before filling.
Stays waterproof in permanent immersion at high pressures.
Resists salt water and atmospheric pollution.
Brush or spray applied to block capillaries and pores.
Used for both negative and positive waterproofing.
Dry pack at 1.5 kg/m² before pouring concrete.
Slurry applied by brush or spray on the dampened surface.
For seawater structure waterproofing and ETP tank leakage, it seals cracks up to 0.4 mm and conforms to ASTM C 1202. The slurry goes on at 0.75 kg/m² per coat in two coats, and dry shake on fresh concrete at 1.6 kg/m². It suits effluent treatment plant waterproofing and comes in 1, 5 & 25 Kgs packs with a 1 year shelf life. Apply the second coat within 48 hours while the first is still green, and moisture cure for 2–3 days. Curing compounds are not suitable.
Armstrong Chemicals supplies ROOFEX COP to sites across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, including Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Bengaluru, Kochi and Chennai.
Crystal formation and osmotic action work together to block capillaries and pores inside the concrete.
It seals cracks up to 0.4 mm, so small cracks in the concrete do not stay open to water.
It resists salt water and atmospheric pollution, which matters for structures exposed to seawater.
Compliant with ASTM C 1202 and DINV 18998. Seals cracks up to 0.4mm and remains 100% waterproof in permanent immersion at high pressures, with resistance to salt water and atmospheric pollution.
Get a QuoteStandard crystalline systems rely entirely on ambient moisture to grow crystals. In drier substrates or intermittent-water applications, the sealing process slows down.
ROOFEX COP's osmotic properties actively draw moisture into the matrix, sustaining crystal formation — and keeping the coating 100% waterproof under permanent immersion at high pressures.
Two mechanisms: crystals seal existing pores and cracks; osmotic action draws moisture into the matrix to sustain the sealing process — unique in the Armstrong crystalline range.
Dual international standard compliance — US rapid chloride permeability (ASTM C 1202) and German waterproof coating standard (DINV 18998).
Specific quantified crack sealing capability — 0.4mm maximum width; the only stated crack dimension in the ROOFEX range.
100% waterproof in permanent immersion at high pressures; resists salt water corrosion and atmospheric pollution.
For water retaining structures, permanently submerged assets, salt water environments and STPs.
Combined mechanism — crystals seal existing pores/cracks while osmotic action continues drawing moisture into the matrix to sustain sealing.
Dual international compliance — US chloride permeability (ASTM C 1202) and German waterproof coating (DINV 18998).
The only stated crack-sealing dimension in the ROOFEX crystalline range — quantified performance.
100% waterproof in permanent immersion at high pressures. Resistant to salt water and atmospheric pollution.
Surface must be sound, clean, free from laitance; dampen before application
Apply by brush or spray at 0.75–1 kg/m²; second coat within 48 hours while first is green; lightly pre-wet between coats
Alternative methods: dry shake at 1.6 kg/m² on fresh concrete, or dry pack at 1.5 kg/m² into construction joints
⚠️ Moisture cure: fog/mist spray 3–4× daily for 2–3 days — curing compounds not suitable
Protect from rain 24 hrs, frost 5 days, sun and wind throughout
Minimum 48 hours foot traffic · 15 days before filling water structures
Full activation: 2–4 weeks · High hydrostatic pressure: contact Armstrong
1, 5 & 25 Kg packs. Shelf life 1 year stored dry, out of sun. ISO 9001:2015 certified.
⚠️ Curing compounds not suitable — moisture cure only. 15 days before filling water structures. 48 hours foot traffic. 2–4 weeks full activation. Not decorative — discolouration may occur. High hydrostatic pressure: contact Armstrong.
Crystallization seals existing pores and cracks; osmotic action draws moisture into the matrix to sustain the sealing process — effective in both dry-applied and permanently submerged conditions. See also ROOFEX and ROOFEX 2K 711.

RAPIDSTRONG GROUT PU is an expansive, water-reactive, water-barrier polyurethane injection grout for free-flow pressure grouting. When it contacts water — including seawater and water containing slight acids or alkalies — it reacts quickly, expands into surrounding pores, cracks and narrow gaps, and polymerises within 36–48 seconds into a tough, highly adhesive solid. Non-toxic, non-pollutant, with no effect on potable water or marine life. Suitable for soil and abutment stabilisation, underground basements, retaining walls, rock areas, earth filling segments and structures exposed to waste water, industrial, chemical and sewage environments.
View DetailsRAPIDSTRONG GROUT VM 99 is a high-performance, solvent-free, two-component polyurethane-based duromer injection resin for the structural sealing and strengthening of cracks, joints and cavities in both dry and water-bearing concrete structures. Mixed A+B at 1:1, it gels in 25–30 seconds and achieves >75 MPa compressive strength and 70 MPa flexural tensile strength — tested to DIN EN 196 T1. Capable of curing down to -20°C, with 1–12× volume expansion on water contact depending on ingress, and re-injectable through existing hoses for permanent capillary sealing. Suitable for pressure injection and gravity feed. Industrial use only.
