RAPIDSTRONG GROUT EP 403 is a two-component, low-viscosity, free-flow epoxy resin grout compliant with ASTM-C-881-78, designed for filling gaps between industrial machinery base plates and concrete or steel substrates under mobile, reciprocating and dynamic loads. Non-shrink with high compressive, tensile and flexural strength — achieving up to 91 N/mm² at 7 days. Three formulations for fine gaps (0.1–10mm), medium gaps (10–70mm) and large gaps (>70mm), with filler materials supplied by Armstrong. Resistant to oil, grease, fats, mild acids, alkalies, fresh water and seawater. Used in steel works, refineries, electroplating plants, chemical plants, turbine installations and crane rail foundations.
Figures are controlled laboratory results. Actual site performance varies with substrate, temperature, humidity, application method and workmanship — please confirm the current product datasheet before specification.
RAPIDSTRONG GROUT EP 403 is an epoxy grout for machine foundation work, supplied as a two-component, low-viscosity resin and hardener. It is a free flow epoxy grout that is poured or pumped into the gap between a machinery base plate and the concrete or steel below. For pressure grouting, it is injected from one side until grout flows from the other.
Fills the gap between the base plate and concrete or steel.
Non-shrink grout for reciprocating and dynamic machine loads.
Poured or pumped under rails that carry mobile, heavy loads.
Free-flow grout placed under turbine installations with continuous grout flow.
Grouts testing equipment bases onto sound, clean concrete or steel.
Resistant to oil, grease and fats in service.
Resistant to mild acids and alkalies in the plant environment.
Chemical resistance covers mild acids, alkalies, fresh water and seawater.
Injected from one side until grout flows from the other.
As a base plate grouting material it is non-shrink and reaches up to 91 N/mm² compressive strength at 7 days, with compliance to ASTM-C-881-78. Choose the formulation by gap: 0.1–10 mm uses resin and hardener only at 1:0.5, 10–70 mm adds Armstrong-supplied silica powder or sand, and gaps over 70 mm add inert fillers and 10–20 mm graded aggregates at 1:2:1.5. This chemical resistant grout withstands oil, grease, mild acids and seawater. Prepare enough grout before starting, because continuous flow is essential.
Armstrong Chemicals supplies RAPIDSTRONG GROUT EP 403 to sites across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, including Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Bengaluru, Kochi and Chennai.
A two-component, non-shrink epoxy grout with three formulations for any gap size — fine cracks, machinery base plates and large foundations — achieving 91 N/mm² at 7 days and resisting oil, acids and dynamic loads in steel works, refineries and turbine installations.
Get a QuoteConventional grout that shrinks on curing creates voids under base plates — eliminating full contact, concentrating loads at bearing points, and leading to grout cracking and machinery misalignment under dynamic, reciprocating and impact loads.
A non-shrink epoxy grout that maintains full continuous contact between machine base plate and substrate through cure and service — resisting mobile, dynamic and reciprocating loads with low creep and high chemical resistance.
Fine gap epoxy (0.1–10mm), medium gap epoxy mortar with silica (10–70mm), and large section epoxy concrete with coarse aggregate (>70mm) — all from the same RAPIDSTRONG GROUT EP base with Armstrong-supplied or site-sourced filler materials.
Low creep under sustained loading, resistant to repetitive dynamic and reciprocating loads, and chemically resistant to oil, grease, fats, mild acids, alkalies, fresh water and seawater — the combination required in refineries, steel works and turbine foundations.
Ratio, density, pot life and strength for each of the three RAPIDSTRONG GROUT EP formulations
Three formulations, one system — for every gap from hairline to heavy machinery foundation.
Large section formulation (1:2:1.5) achieves 91 N/mm² at 7 days (BS 6319 Part 2); medium section achieves 72 N/mm² at just 1 day — high early and long-term strength for load-bearing foundations.
Fine liquid grout for 0.1–10mm, epoxy mortar for 10–70mm, epoxy concrete for >70mm — the entire range covered by one ASTM-C-881-78 certified system with Armstrong-supplied or site-sourced fillers.
Non-shrink curing ensures full continuous base plate contact; low creep under sustained loading and resistance to repetitive dynamic and reciprocating loads — engineered for machinery, not general building.
Resistant to oil, grease, fats, most chemicals, mild acids, alkalies, fresh water and seawater — the chemical profile required in refineries, steel works, electroplating plants and chemical facilities.
Grout pack: 1.5 Kg, 15 Kg, 30 Kg. Silica Powder/Sand fillers: 5 Kg & 25 Kg poly packs (supplied separately if required). Graded coarse aggregates for the large-gap formulation are also available separately. No shelf life figure is stated in this brochure — confirm with Armstrong before ordering stock for long-term storage.
⚠️ Pot life varies dramatically by formulation and temperature. Mix only what can be placed within the available window, and ensure continuous grout flow before starting work — interruptions cause cold joints in the poured grout.
| Formulation | @ 20°C | @ 30°C | @ 45°C |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1:0.5 (fine gaps) | 65 min | 40 min | — |
| 1:3 (medium gaps) | 25 min | 20 min | — |
| 1:2:1.5 (large gaps) | 125 min | 90 min | 36 min |
ASTM-C-881-78 compliant. Resistant to oil, grease, fats, mild acids, alkalies, fresh water and seawater. Low creep under sustained loading; resistant to repetitive dynamic and reciprocating loads — engineered for machinery foundations, not general construction grouting.
Surface prep: all contact surfaces must be free from dust, oil, grease or loosely adherent material
Concrete surfaces must be sound — clean and free from laitance
Steel surfaces must be shot blasted free of rust — not just wire brushed
0.1–10mm gaps: mix Part 1 (1 kg) + Part 2 (500g) only — 1:0.5 ratio
10–70mm gaps: mix epoxy + hardener + Armstrong-supplied Silica Powder/Sand — 1:3 ratio by weight
>70mm gaps: mix epoxy + hardener + inert fillers + 10–20mm graded aggregates — 1:2:1.5 ratio; site-sourced aggregates must be even-sized, cleaned and dried
Add Part 2 (Hardener, 500g) slowly into Part 1 (Epoxy Resin, 1 kg)
Mix using a slow-speed power stirrer for 2–5 minutes until a uniform colour is achieved
⚠️ Ensure sufficient grout volume is prepared before starting — continuous grout flow is essential
⚠️ Pot life varies by formulation and temperature — mix only what can be placed within the available window
Pour or pump the mixed grout into the prepared gap
For pressure grouting, inject from one side until grout flows from the other
Protect from direct sunlight and excessive heat to avoid premature cure

View DetailsROOFCRETE EP is a three-part, solvent-free structural epoxy concrete and mortar system — epoxy resin, amine hardener and silica filler, mixed with site-graded aggregates to form a high-strength epoxy repair concrete. Designed for reinstatement of distressed and defective concrete in deep section repairs: foundations, dams, spillways, bridges, runways and highways. Achieves 93 N/mm² compressive strength at 7 days, bonds to cement at 4 N/mm², and cures unaffected by humidity — suitable for both damp and dry surfaces.
