TILEX 350 Tile Adhesive is a thin-set polymer modified cementitious tile and stone adhesive compliant with IS 15477-2004 minimum Type 1. Single component — just add water. Non-shrink, self-curing, with excellent adhesion to cementitious surfaces including plaster, concrete, screed, cement mortar beds and existing tiles. High compressive strength (>10 N/mm²) and shear strength (>0.8 N/mm²). Suitable for ceramic, vitrified, glazed, mosaic, stone, granite and marble tiles on internal and external, vertical and horizontal surfaces.
Figures are controlled laboratory results. Actual site performance varies with substrate, temperature, humidity, application method and workmanship — please confirm the current product datasheet before specification.
TILEX 350 is a tile adhesive of the thin-set, polymer modified cementitious type, compliant with IS 15477-2004 minimum Type 1. It is a single component powder. You add it to water, mix to a lump-free paste, spread it and comb it with a notched trowel. It fixes ceramic, vitrified, glazed, mosaic, stone, granite and marble tiles inside and outside.
Thin-set bed of 3–6 mm, combed with a notched trowel.
Suitable for mosaic tiles, tapped firmly into the combed bed.
Bonds stone, granite and marble to cementitious surfaces.
Scrape the old tile surface first to give a mechanical key.
Excellent adhesion to screed, cement mortar beds, plaster and concrete.
Fixes wall and floor tiles in bathrooms and kitchens.
Suitable for internal lobby floors and external facade surfaces.
Listed for swimming pool tiling, with final curing in 14 days at 30°C.
Suitable for both internal and external tiling work.
Works on walls as well as on floors.
A 25 kg pack mixed with 7.5 litres of water covers 65–75 sq.ft at a 3 mm bed. That is the tile adhesive coverage per bag. Compressive strength is above 10 N/mm² and shear strength above 0.8 N/mm², a guard against tiles coming loose. Open time is 30 minutes, pot life about 2 hours at 30°C, and heavy traffic is possible after around 24 hours. Always add the powder to the water, never the other way round.
Armstrong Chemicals supplies TILEX 350 to sites across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, including Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Bengaluru, Kochi and Chennai.
The polymer modified cementitious mix gives excellent adhesion to plaster, concrete, screed, cement mortar beds and existing tiles.
It is non-shrink, so the bed holds its volume as it hardens, and it is self-curing once the tiles are fixed.
Just add water. There is no second part to measure, which keeps mixing on site simple.
Single-component polymer modified tile adhesive — non-shrink, self-curing, groutable within hours of tile fixing.
Get a QuotePour 7.5 litres of water first, then add 25 kg TILEX 350 powder while mixing. Do NOT put water into the powder. Mix with slow-speed drill (50–100 rpm). Consume within 2 hours @ 30°C pot life.
Polymer modified cementitious adhesive meeting IS 15477-2004 minimum Type 1 — reliable specification baseline for all tile types on internal and external applications.
A stated advantage: grouting can be done within a few hours of tile fixing. Heavy traffic after 24 hours. Faster installation cycle than traditional mortar bed methods.
Ceramic, vitrified, glazed, mosaic, stone, granite and marble — plus tile-on-tile installation after adequate surface key preparation.
Hardens without shrinkage; self-curing — no external water curing required. Add TILEX URP ADMIX to replace water for enhanced bond strength.
For enhanced bond strength on demanding surfaces, gauge TILEX 350 with TILEX URP ADMIX in place of water.
25 Kgs pack. Shelf life 1 year in unopened container at 25°C in cool and dry storage.
Pot life: 2 hours @ 30°C. Open time: 30 minutes — apply tiles within this window. Heavy traffic after 24 hours. Final curing 14 days @ 30°C. Always mix only what can be consumed within pot life.
Grouting can be done within a few hours of tile fixing — reducing the time between laying and completing the floor compared to cement mortar bed installations.
Surface must be clean and sound; free from laitance, grease, oils, wax, polish and loose material
Old surfaces cleaned; dry, dusty concrete dampened, excess water swept off
Pour 7.5 L clean water into mixing bowl; add 25 kg TILEX 350 powder (do not put water into powder)
Mix with slow-speed drill (50–100 rpm) or trowel until homogeneous, lump-free paste; adjust water for consistency
⚠️ Consume within 2 hours @ 30°C (pot life)
Spread adhesive to 3–6mm thickness with flat side of trowel; comb with notched trowel
Apply tiles within 25–30 minutes; tap firmly to ensure back coverage; eliminate air voids
Periodically lift a tile to check full back coverage
Keep joints between tiles using spacers (supplied with tile adhesive bag)
Tile-on-tile: scrape original surface to provide mechanical key before applying TILEX 350
Heavy traffic: around 24 hours · Full cure: 14 days @ 30°C
