    1. Find the exact point where the water comes in and cut it out slightly wider, so the plug has room to key in. Remove loose material.
    2. Leave it wet; these compounds set in water.
    3. Force WONDERSEAL PLUG XL into the hole as a dry powder where water is flowing, or mix it with the minimum of water to a stiff putty.
    4. Press the plug in firmly and hold it under pressure for 30 to 60 seconds until it has set. It expands as it sets and locks into the hole.
    5. For fixing grout nozzles and packers, or quick repairs where the flow is lighter, use RAPIDSTRONG PLUG 31, the fast-setting cement plugging compound.
    6. Trim the plug flush and follow with the permanent treatment: PU injection for the crack behind it, then a crystalline coating or ROOFCOAT FLEXI 100 over the face.

A plug stops the water at that point only; water often finds the next weak spot. Treat the whole wall or floor once the flow is stopped.

A hydraulic cement plug sets in the presence of water and expands as it sets, so it can stop an active leak where ordinary mortar would wash out, and gives a dry face for the permanent waterproofing.
