    1. Chip existing treatments, remove debris and clean off dirt and dust. Remove any tar or bitumen felt with the contaminated layer.
    2. Dampen the surface thoroughly.
    3. Apply two coats of ROOFCOAT FLEXI 100 mixed with cement.
    4. Immediately lay 1:2:4 screed concrete with 6 to 12 mm graded aggregate and CONPROOF 500 at 500 ml per 50 kg of cement, about 40 mm on average to make the slope. Where a polymer concrete is specified, use ROOFCRETE AR 576 at about 2 litres per 50 kg bag.
    5. Lay 1:4 cement mortar with CONPROOF 500 at 6 to 12 mm average thickness, with a neat finish.
    6. Cut joints in the screed and cure it.

Chip deteriorated concrete until a sound base is reached; the overlay is only as good as its bond.

A polymer concrete overlay gives high strength, strong bonding and a waterproof base where water stands, mortar has de-bonded or the slab is heavily cracked.
