    1. Assess the floor: let new concrete cure about 28 days and test for moisture with a taped plastic sheet.
    2. Clean and profile the surface by wire brush, grinder scarifying or shot blasting, to the profile the product needs.
    3. Fill cracks, joints and broken patches with epoxy putty or ROOFCRETE EP.
    4. Prime with one coat of ROOFBOND EP by brush or roller.
    5. Heavy-duty chemical and abrasion areas such as drains and tank surrounds: trowel a ROOFCRETE EP epoxy screed about 2 to 3 mm thick onto the tacky primer.
    6. Apply the topcoat for the use. For a high-build floor, two coats of ARMSTRONG HBF 400; on exposed acid-prone terraces, follow with two coats of an acid and UV resistant resin coating. Spread self-levelling toppings with a notched squeegee and spiked roller.
    7. Broadcast anti-slip aggregate where grip is needed, form coves at walls and drains, and cut and seal joints with ROOFEX-SEAL PS.
    8. Cure before traffic.

Moisture rising through a slab pushes an epoxy floor off. Every layer depends on the preparation. Epoxy is not UV stable, so exposed floors need a UV-resistant topcoat.

Epoxy floors give a jointless, hard, chemical-resistant surface chosen to the use: abrasion, acids, hygiene or static control. A 2 to 3 mm epoxy screed takes impact and chemical spills that would break up a thin coating.
