Cement grout and stain-free epoxy grout
Applications
Bathrooms and kitchensSwimming poolsFloors with stains or waterWall tiles
Procedure
- Wait at least 24 hours after fixing and rake out adhesive from the joints.
- Cement grout: mix TILEX TG U 1600 or TILEX TG S 1500 with water, or with TILEX URP ADMIX 73 for wet areas, and force it in with a rubber float at 45 degrees.
- Epoxy grout: work between 16°C and 32°C, with no acid cleaners. Mix both components of TILEX EPOXY STAIN FREE 100 fully and pack every joint full.
- Remove excess at once. For epoxy, wipe the tile faces with a damp sponge while the grout is fresh, and clear any remaining haze within 24 hours; once hard it cannot be wiped off.
- Cure: cement grout 24 to 48 hours before water; cover outdoor epoxy from sun for 7 days.
Important Suggestions
Epoxy-grouted joints are specified at 3 to 5 mm with nylon spacers.
Why This Treatment?
Epoxy grout is stain-free and waterproof and survives chlorine and cleaning; latex-modified cement grout gives dense joints in wet areas.
